This place is a great getaway, especially for those staying at the Driftwood Resort. Our party of four, on a (football) Sunday night, felt welcome and well attended to. I lost our receipt, but our server was awesome! We got two orders of chicken wings, calamari, fish and chips, a pasta and seafood combo platter (forgot what it's called). Everything was outstanding! The wedge fries were hot, well seasoned and delicious! I wish I had my receipt to reference my meal, but seriously, everything was super yummy.

Went here with a big group one night on our Vero Beach vacation. Just happened to be trivia night! We stayed from about 6-9ish and it was lots of fun. The trivia questions were challenging but not impossible. The host was really funny and it's not something to be taken very seriously. Food was decent- I just had fried stuff but I liked it. Outside area was really neat, we didn't eat out there but was a good view of the beach when it wasn't so dark out. A couple of cats hang around and they were very good kitties- staying just on the outside patio. I would go back again!! Wish I remembered our servers name, she was really awesome and attentive.

Waldo's is an institution. The history of the building, ocean views, excellent drinks, relaxed atmosphere, and varied menu: it all adds up to a one-of-kind place. Food options range from salads, burgers, wraps, quesadillas, fried shrimp, steaks, etc. Typical American fare with a beach vibe; probably what you would expect. Try the VIP Sandwich! Plenty of waiters and fairly reliable service. Waldo's will put a smile on your face before you leave: it's been doing it for almost a century!

Great place oceanfront in Vero Beach, FL. Good food and service. Ambiance is beach vibe with live music.

I really enjoyed the chill atmosphere. We were a group of 5 and dined beachside on a weeknight in the 6 o'clock hour. Our initial server was on point and knowledgeable regarding the menu. I asked him about a couple of items and he provided me his insider tips. In the end, I opted for the VIP sandwich. It differs from a French Dip because it's shaved lean prime rib and not fatty. It was paired with seasoned wedge fries and au jus. The sandwich was not only delicious, but extremely filling as promised. The au jus was a generous serving amount and the temperature of my meal was on point. I did ask the runner for napkins when we received our meals, but those never came nor did our initial server until it was time for the check. This was slightly annoying. The beverages are served in plastic cups adorned with historic Waldo and make a great souvenir. Overall, our group enjoyed the experience. I would return but not race back.

Better than expected!! Just had a wonderful meal at Waldo's! Decided to have the fresh catch of the day, three choices, mahi, sea bass and grouper, blackened,grilled or fried. I chose the grouper blackened which comes with a delicious salad, a sweet potato and vegetables. Everything was absolutely delicious I had the house dressing on the salad and that was tasty as well. Service was perfect, ambience well it's Waldo's love the old beach driftwood decor, lots of history here. Sorry no pictures this time.

This place shows up on a lot of "must-do'" lists when visiting Vero Beach. It has quirky architecture and an interesting history. (I recommend reading up on the backstory or checking out a YouTube vid). The food was fantastic! (Grouper sandwich, coconut shrimp, and something called "fish dip."). The drinks were strong. The ambiance - outdoor seating on the beach with fortuitously gorgeous weather - was great! And our server Heidi was extraordinary! Highly recommend!
